The American singer and actress Lady Gaga has revealed that her seventh studio album, titled 'Mayhem', will be released on March 7. With this new work, Gaga plans to return to her musical roots, as announced in a statement issued by Universal Music.
In her statements, Gaga mentioned: 'The album started when I confronted my fear of going back to the pop music that my early fans loved.' She described the creative process of this project as 'putting back together a broken mirror: even if you can't perfectly piece it back together, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own way.'
The news of the release of 'Mayhem' was announced through advertising posters in cities such as Las Vegas and New York, and later Gaga confirmed the information on social media with a dark video reminiscent of the post-punk aesthetic that reveals the album's name and release date.
The album, produced by Gaga, Michael Polansky, Andrew Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein, will include 14 songs, including the already released 'Disease' and 'Die With a Smile'. The third single will be presented during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards scheduled for February 2.
Additionally, Lady Gaga will collaborate with Bruno Mars on the song 'Die with a Smile', nominated for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo at the Grammys. Before these awards, the artist will join other musicians to perform at the FireAid concert on January 30, a charity event in support of those affected by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.
